Brickfield Rangers FC v Newtown AFC

Nine Goal Thriller at Clywedog Park.

What a great start for Dave Norman's & Simon Sedgwick new Brickfield Rangers last night at Clywedog Park in front of 165 people where their WNL Premier League side gave Chris Hughes's Welsh Premier League Newtown Football Club side a good competitive game.

We want to thank Chris Hughes for last nights game and thank him for choosing Brickfield Rangers as their opening pre season friendly which has helped us to raise much needed money to keep supporting our Youth sections. I was also the first time that both clubs has faced each other at Adult level which is a big bonus. Officially Newtown Football Club are the 1st Welsh Premier League to have faced us at our new Home ground of Clywedog Park too. Thanks Chris.

Dave Norman stated " It was a great start to our 1st official friendly were we nearly gained a draw against a very decent Newtown team. Everyone of our players played amazing and gave it all they had which is a sign of good things too come. Well done lads"
