Brickfield Rangers suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Chirk AAA at Clywedog Park.
Chirk coming off the back of two straight defeats took the game to Brickfield from the off as the home side struggled with both the high wind and the pressure that the visitors put on them.
Chirk's pressure paid off in the 12th minute when Brickfield failed to clear their lines and the ball was stabbed home from close range.
Brickfield then enjoyed periods of the game with good possession but failed to create anything effective in the final third, and this was further punished on 40 minutes when Chirk scored there second with a free header from a freekick.
The home side struggled to break down the Chirk back line in the second period and despite going down to 10 men with 20 minutes to go the visitors held out for a deserved 3 points.

Man of the Match - Sam Molyneux
After the game Simon Sedgwick was less than pleased "We struggled, we never really got going and we never really created anything of note throughout and we got punished. It's a less than ideal start, but we must stay strong and together and build on what we are good at. This needs to start at Cefn next Wednesday".
